From 8 to 11 November 2015, under the heading of “ICT for Development”, the IDIA Conference (International Development Informatics Association) and the post conference ESEFA workshop took place in Nungwi, Zanzibar. This not only involved the ESEFA team of the UCT, De Wet Naude (SAP UA) and Kwena Mabotja (SAP UA), but also Patrick Wirz (OVGU) and more than 30 lecturers of the ESEFA partner universities. The focal points of the event were the new curriculum modules Accounting, Customizing and ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) and the decision to establish an academic board for Africa. An initial step in this direction was the formation of an initiative group under the direction of Prof. Lisa Seymour (UCT). Moreover, Patrick Wirz (OVGU) gave a presentation on the sustainability of the ESEFA programme and discussed vital aspects concerning the future project development.
