- Via A2 (from the direction of Berlin or Hannover), take exit 70 "Magdeburg Zentrum" on the Magdeburger Ring continuing South, then take exit "Albert-Vater-Straße" on the on the B1 to the East until Universitätsplatz (bis roundabout).
- Via A14 (from the direction of Halle/Leipzig), take exit 105 "Magdeburg Sudenburg, Zentrum" on the Magdeburger Ring (B81/E49/B71) continuing North, then take exit "Albert-Vater-Straße" (Helmstedt, Dessau, Burg, Zentrum, Olvenstedt) on the B1 in the direction of "Dessau, Burg, Zentrum" (East) until Universitätsplatz (big roundabout).
- Via B1 from the West until Universitätsplatz (big roundabout). Do not drive through the tunnel (see sketch). Take the third exit and turn into "Gareisstraße". Turn right into "Henning-von-Tesckow-Str." at the next traffic light.
- If you approach on the B1 from the East (from the direction of Dessau or Burg), cross both brigdes accross the Elbe. Then, turn right into "Pfälzer Straße" at the second traffic light (see sketch).
