Curriculum vitae

Frederik Kramer studied business informatics at the Institute for Technical and Operational Information Systems (ITI) of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg. His first company was founded in 1997 in the early days of the internet age. Between 2007 and 2014, Frederik Kramer led numerous international and national research projects. He is currently the technical managing director of initOS GmbH, which he founded in 2011.

Since the foundation of his first company in 1997, Frederik Kramer has dedicated himself to the use of open source software in the strategic design of IT system landscapes. In 2016, as part of his scientific work at the Magdeburg Research and Competence Cluster (MRCC) under the direction of Prof. Klaus Turowski, he successfully completed his doctorate with the topic "Strategic System Landscape Engineering for small and mediumsized Enterprises".

In connection with his work at the ITI, he has published numerous national and international papers and participated in various projects. His research focuses in particular on the strategic use of open source software to gain sustainable competitive advantages.
