Curriculum vitae

Manuel Ahrens studied political sciences at the University of Augsburg from 2000 to 2006. Since 2000, he has furthermore been concerned with complex value creation chains, versatile production, and virtual factories at the Institute for Machine Tools and industrial Management (iwb) at the Munich Institute of Technology. His focus is on cross-company planning and controling of value-added networks. Between 2001 and 2006, he took on different volontary positions for the Association of German Micro and Macro Economists and was last active as press officer. Today, Manuel Ahrens works in the headquarters of the search engine operator Google in Dublin for Europe, Afrika and Middle East (EMEA). He is responsible for strategic analyses in the field of E-Commerce.

His research work is devoted to digital value-creation chains and business models in E-Commerce.
